Dörken's DELTA-MAYERWERKSSPERE (Damp-Proof Membrane) is a 0.4 mm thick polyolefin damp-proof course for horizontal cross-sectional sealing in and under walls. The 50 cm wide roll, with a length of 25 m, covers 12.50 m². Select a membrane width that completely covers the wall and extends laterally for connection to the surface waterproofing.
It is aimed at bricklayers, construction companies and building owners who want to protect basement exterior walls and plinth areas against rising damp; you can find further products for basement construction in our Basement category .
According to the manufacturer's documentation, the track is suitable for the following applications and test points:
The double-sided profiling bonds with the mortar and thus transfers shear forces within the sealing layer, which is important for basement exterior walls under earth pressure.
The membrane must completely cover the wall and extend beyond both sides far enough to prevent moisture bridges.
The manufacturer specifies a minimum overhang of 5 cm beyond the masonry; as a calculation example, the 50 cm strip is suitable for wall thicknesses up to 40 cm with a 5 cm overhang on both sides.
The joints between the panels are overlapped by at least 20 cm; according to the manufacturer, 5 cm is sufficient for glued joints.
Lay the membrane in a single layer in a leveled, fresh mortar bed; the specified temperature resistance ranges from −30 °C to +80 °C, the fire behavior corresponds to class E.
The values are taken from the manufacturer's technical data sheet and declaration of performance; area and roll weight are calculated from the roll dimensions.
