The GK edge protector is an aluminum corner guard with a leg length of 23.5 mm and a length of 3 m. When embedded in plaster, it protects the outer edges of plasterboard cladding from impacts and ensures a straight edge line. Thanks to the 3 m length, you can also create higher wall edges without profile joints. The price shown is per piece.
This angle bracket is aimed at drywall installers, painters and renovators who want to permanently protect the outer edges of plasterboard walls and cladding; further profiles can be found under Plaster profiles made of metal and PVC .
Typical applications and processing steps:
The angle serves as a guide for a straight edge when applying filler and also absorbs impacts that would quickly damage a simple filler edge. Keuck, for example, offers the ARDEX A 828 wall filler as a filler for plasterboard joints .
Select the profile based on edge length and edge angle.
With a length of 3,000 mm, one rod is sufficient even for higher edges; for shorter edges, Keuck offers the same angle in 2,500 mm, which saves on waste.
For 135° edges, such as at transitions to sloping roofs, Keuck offers a special corner protection angle with this angle.
The profile is fully embedded in filler and is not intended as an exposed, visible profile. For damp rooms, please check suitability beforehand, as coated or stainless steel profiles are sometimes used in these areas.
