Who is the REV WAGO Compact 2-way clamp suitable for?

Areas of application and selection criteria

Typical uses and points to check before buying:

• Connecting two conductors in junction and switch boxes
• Lengthening a single-wire conductor that is too short
• Conductor cross-sections from 0.5 to 2.5 mm²
• According to the data sheet, only for single-wire conductors
• Maintain a stripping length of 11 mm.
• Both terminals are at the same potential
• Note the maximum ambient temperature of 60 °C.
• Work on power lines should only be carried out when the power is off.

Your advantage: slim design for narrow cans

With a width of only 10 mm and a height of 5.8 mm, the terminal fits even in tightly packed boxes, and the transparent housing shows whether each conductor is fully seated.

Choose the correct conductor type and number

The PUSH WIRE® push-in technology is designed for solid conductors; a different terminal series is required for fine-stranded or multi-stranded conductors.

Two or three ladders

If a third conductor is added, select the REV WAGO Compact 3-way terminal block from the same Compact range.

copper and aluminum

The WAGO datasheet mentions solid copper conductors; for solid aluminum conductors, WAGO lists the Alu-Plus contact paste 249-130 as an accessory, which is not included.

Assembly, testing and limits

Strip 11 mm of insulation from the conductor and insert it fully; the test port accepts standard test probes. Work on the fixed installation should only be carried out by qualified electricians and must be de-energized.
