The 6 mm quick-plastering profile is a plastering guide made of perforated, galvanized steel, 3 m long. As a plastering rail, it defines the level of the plaster surface, allowing you to apply even thin layers of plaster evenly. The 6 mm version is suitable if your planned plaster layer corresponds to this profile dimension – for example, on relatively flat walls being prepared as a substrate for tiles.
This profile is aimed at plasterers, stucco workers and tilers who want to create perfectly flat wall surfaces with a thin layer of plaster; you can find further profiles under Plaster profiles made of metal and PVC .
The following points are important for deployment and selection:
Because the flat profile defines the plastering plane, the material application remains minimal and the surface is still level. If the substrate requires more leveling, Keuck offers the 10 mm quick-plastering profile in 3 m lengths .
The crucial factors are how much unevenness the plaster needs to compensate for and what plaster thickness is planned.
The actual plaster thickness also depends on the setting mortar and the unevenness of the substrate; therefore, check the wall before choosing the profile.
At 3,000 mm, the bars are sufficient even for higher walls, and the side ribs further stiffen the perforated profile.
Align the profiles precisely before plastering, as any deviation will be transferred to the finished surface. For damp rooms, some manufacturers require stainless steel profiles; therefore, check the suitability of this galvanized profile beforehand.
