Areas of application and selection criteria

Typical uses and points to check before ordering:

• Wall connection of suspended ceilings with CD profiles
• Connection profile for facing panels
• Substructure in gypsum board systems
• Determine the required amount based on the room perimeter (3.00 m per piece)
• Order matching CD ceiling profiles 60 x 27 at the same time.
• Plan for sealing tape for the wall connection.
• For corrosive areas, choose profiles with increased corrosion protection.
• Not suitable for outdoor use

Your advantage when buying

Because you order individual pieces, you buy exactly the length that your room perimeter requires and complement the construction directly with the CD ceiling profile 60 x 27 x 0.6 mm .

What you should pay attention to when making your selection

The key factors are profile dimensions and corrosion protection, as the UD profile must match the CD profile and the room usage.

Profile dimensions and system affiliation

The 28 x 27 dimension is designed to fit CD ceiling profiles 60 x 27, which are inserted into the UD profile and screwed into it.

Material and corrosion protection

The tested data sheets from Rigips and Protektor mention galvanized steel sheet DX51D+Z with zinc coating Z100, intended for normally climate-controlled interiors.

Assembly and operating limits

Attach the profile with sealing tape and suitable dowels according to the manufacturer's system specifications – Knauf recommends swivel dowels spaced 50 cm apart – and cut it to size with tin snips.
