Aspen 2 is a ready-to-use two-stroke fuel made from alkylate gasoline with 2% synthetic two-stroke oil already added – this corresponds to a mixing ratio of 1:50. The 1-liter bottle covers the needs of occasional use with a chainsaw, brush cutter, or hedge trimmer. It is crucial that the equipment manufacturer specifies a gasoline-oil mixture for an air-cooled two-stroke engine.
The bottle is aimed at private garden owners and caretaker services with low fuel requirements. For more frequent use, Aspen 2 is also available in a 5-liter canister ; businesses with high consumption tend to opt for the 25-liter canister .
According to Aspen, the fuel is intended for air-cooled, land-based two-stroke engines; check these points:
They refuel directly from the bottle, saving the time and effort of measuring gasoline and oil; according to Aspen distributor, the ethanol-free alkylate gasoline can be stored for up to 5 years, which is helpful for seasonally used equipment.
The decisive factor is which fuel and which mixing ratio are specified by the device manufacturer.
Aspen 2 is designed for engines that use a gasoline-oil mixture; the oil it contains provides engine lubrication.
Aspen recommends the oil-free fuel Aspen 4 for four-stroke engines and for mixing outboard fuel with outboard oil.
The fuel is extremely flammable and can be fatal if swallowed and enters the airways. Store the bottle upright, tightly closed, in a cool, ventilated place, protected from sunlight, and not above 30°C.
The values are taken from the Aspen 2 safety data sheet (revised 05.12.2025) and the information provided by the German Aspen distributor; the label and safety data sheet must be consulted before use.
