Who is the Siola estate car suitable for?

According to Diephaus product data for the Siola combination series and installation instructions for wall elements, the following applications and test points apply:

• Garden walls, slope stabilization and terrain terracing
• Bed edging as well as borders and boundaries
• Edgings along garden paths, driveways and courtyards
• Palisades for straight or curved lines
• Lengths of 25, 37.5, 50 and 60 cm can be freely combined.
• Set as a brick wall in a half-bond pattern with a 3–5 mm joint; bonding is recommended.
• When used as a palisade, embed at least one third of its height in the ground.
• No road salt or acidic cleaners on the coating.

Construction as a wall

Diephaus specifies an excavation depth of 50 to 80 cm with 30 to 60 cm of frost protection, approximately 20 cm of lean concrete, and mortar leveling. With a layer height of 12.5 cm, this equates to roughly 21 stones per square meter of visible surface, excluding joints.

Installation as a palisade

According to Diephaus, for low loads, an embedment depth of one third of the height is sufficient; for higher loads, palisades are set in lean concrete and individually plumbed.

Care and limits
