Who is the Siola-Mini suitable for?

The stone is aimed at garden owners as well as garden and landscape designers who create dry stone walls, bed borders or stepped embankments in a dark broken stone look; the same stone appears lighter in the color shell limestone .

Areas of application and test points

According to Diephaus product data and installation instructions for wall elements, the following applications and test points apply:

• Garden walls and dry stone walls
• Garden bed edging
• Slope stabilization and terrain terracing
• Visual and noise protection as well as separation and boundary
• Lengths of 15, 20, 25, 35 and 50 cm can be combined for staggered butt joints.
• Glue the rows together if there are 3 to 5 layers.
• Frost-proof foundation with lean concrete according to Diephaus installation instructions
• No road salt or acidic cleaners on the coating.

Your advantage in wall construction

The stones are simply stacked on top of each other, and thanks to split visible sides and blasted top surface, a finished wall finish is created without additional parts.

Planning and building a wall

Diephaus recommends laying the stones in a bond pattern with narrow joints and varying the lengths.

Foundation and bonding

According to the installation instructions, a frost-proof foundation of around 20 cm of lean concrete and a mortar leveling layer are required under the first layer; from 3 to 5 layers onwards, the rows are glued together.

Quantity required

With a length of 20 cm and a height of 15 cm, this equates to approximately 33 stones per m² of visible surface without joints; the number of stones changes with mixed lengths.

Care and limits
