The Diephaus Siola-Magnus is a solid concrete wall block with a split-stone look, inspired by large natural stone blocks. The cube-shaped 20 × 20 × 20 cm block is split on three sides, sandblasted on the top, and coated with PE3 Pearl Effect 3. According to Diephaus, the block is suitable for stable garden walls, slope stabilization, and privacy screens with construction heights of up to 2 m.
The stone is aimed at garden and landscape designers as well as builders who construct massive garden walls, slope stabilizations or privacy screens with a natural stone look; the smaller Diephaus Siola-Mini , for example in black, is suitable for low walls and flower beds.
According to Diephaus product data and installation instructions for wall elements, the following applications and test points apply:
The massive cube stone creates a striking wall with a block look that can be completed without additional stones; according to Diephaus, the coating repels dirt and keeps the color stable.
According to Diephaus, the foundation depends on the soil conditions, wall height and the slope of the wall.
Diephaus specifies an excavation depth of 50 to 80 cm, 10 cm wider on both sides than the wall, 30 to 60 cm of frost protection, approximately 20 cm of lean concrete, and 5 to 10 cm of mortar leveling compound. From 3 to 5 courses onwards, the rows are bonded together.
With a length of 20 cm and a height of 20 cm, this equates to 25 stones per m² of visible surface without joints.
The construction height of up to 2 m requires professional installation and, in the case of retaining walls, structural calculations. The same stone is available in a warmer color as Siola-Magnus shell limestone .
The information is taken from the Diephaus product data for the Siola-Magnus and the Diephaus installation instructions for wall elements (as of 09/26).
