The GK edge protector 135° is a 2.50 m long aluminum corner protector for obtuse outer edges on plasterboard cladding. Where two surfaces meet at an angle of 135° rather than a right angle, a 90° profile will not fit properly. This corner protector follows the edge, protects it from impacts, and ensures a straight line when applying joint compound.
This angle is aimed at drywallers, painters and renovators who want to create neat beveled corners and wall bends in drywall construction; further profiles can be found under plaster profiles made of metal and PVC .
Typical applications and processing steps:
Because the angle is already designed at 135°, it rests against both surfaces of the panel and can be evenly embedded with filler, without the need to subsequently bend a right-angled profile. This creates a straight, durable edge even on angled corners.
Before ordering, check the angle of the edge and whether it protrudes or is recessed.
Measure the edge angle; for right-angled outer edges, Keuck offers the GK edge protector 3000 × 23.5 × 23.5 mm .
Corner protection angles protect protruding outer edges; recessed corners, such as at the transition from the knee wall to the roof slope, generally do not receive an edge profile.
The profile is fully embedded in filler and is not intended as an exposed, visible profile. For damp rooms, please check suitability beforehand, as coated or stainless steel profiles are sometimes used in these areas.
