Who is the STR-Rondelle EPS suitable for?

The roundel is aimed at plasterers and ETICS specialists who want to dowel EPS facades with the EJOT STR U 2G and fill the dowel recesses with insulation material.

Areas of application and test points

According to EJOT and the associated documentation, the following use cases and test points apply:

• Covering the dowel recess after recessed mounting according to the STR principle
• For the screw anchors ejotherm STR U 2G and STR U
• According to EJOT, also for ejotherm STR H and STR H A2
• Choose a color to match the insulation board: white or grey
• EJOT offers the STR-Rondelle MW for mineral wool insulation boards.
• Not for flush mounting; the STR plug seals it there.
• Minimum insulation thickness depending on the mounting tool: Type S from 80 mm, Type L from 100 mm
• The EPS board must be approved for countersunk installation in the anchor verification.

Your advantage with recessed doweling

According to EJOT, the roundel closes the dowel recess with insulating material and creates the basis for homogeneous surfaces and an even plaster application.

Select the appropriate roundel

The insulation material, panel color and mounting method determine which cover part you need.

White or grey

The STR-Rondelle EPS is available in white and grey; for grey EPS panels, choose the EJOT STR-Rondelle EPS grey .

EPS or mineral wool

For mineral wool insulation boards, the EJOT STR-Rondelle MW is recommended; flush-mounted dowels are sealed with the STR plug.

Notes and limitations

For countersunk installation in timber construction, the aBG Z-9.1-822 only mentions STR H A2 and STR HE in mineral wool; the EPS washer is not specified there. For EPS facades, check whether the documentation for your ETICS (External Thermal Insulation Composite System) permits countersunk anchor installation.
